Guinness World Record hope for 81 year old cyclist

After a journey that covered 950 miles, 81 year old Tony Rathbone and his friend Billy Skipper have finished their cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats.

Tony, from Cumbria, cycled with Billy from South Shields to raise money for cancer care charities.

Tony may even be entered into the Guinness Book of Records for being the oldest cyclist to complete the journey.

Tony takes the charity ride up a gear

Tony Rathbone, who is 81-years-old from Cumbria and his Geordie friend, Billy Skipper, are over half way through their 950 mile cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats.

They're raising money for cancer care charities in Cumbria and South Shields and are now travelling through the Scottish Borders.
