Figures show high numbers of North West children are overweight
Figures out this morning suggest that more than a third of 10 to 11 year olds in North West England are overweight or obese.
Just under a quarter of 4 to 5 year olds are also overweight.

The project, already running in Carlisle and Allerdale, hopes to improve the health of people across the county.
Exercise on Referral provides a 15 week programme for patients with conditions such as diabetes, respiratory diseases and obesity.

Cumbria is officially the fattest county in the country, according to Public Health England.
Figures show almost 76 per cent of people in Copeland are overweight or obese, that compares to 64 per cent of adults in the rest of England.
