Pupils at Kirkcudbright School have thrown a WW2 theme party for older residents.
The children, who are all in Primary Seven, have been learning about World War Two and invited 150 older people from the local community to join in with the fun.
The children sang popular wartime songs, read poetry and told stories of what life was like for children growing up in the war.
Afterwards the guests were treated to war-themed cakes that they had baked.
