Biker treated in hospital

A motorcyclst has been treated in hospital after being thrown from his machine in a single vehicle accident in the Scottish Borders.

The 21-year-old male came off his bike on the A68 road between Lauder and Oxton near to the junction with the A697 around 2pm yesterday (April 18).

The road was closed and diversions put in place while the emergency services were at the scene.The motorcyclist was taken to Borders General Hospital with what are described as "non life-threatening injuries."
