Sellafield sign deal with Japanese nuclear company

Sellafiled have signed a co-operation deal with a Japanese nuclear clean-up company.

The deal will see the two companies share knowledge and resources when cleaning up nuclear sites across the world.

TEPCO, the Japanese company, were tasked with clearing up the Fukushima nuclear plant after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.

Sellafield also say they are moving a step closer to building three new nuclear reactors at Moorside.

They hope the reactors will go on line in 2024.
