Four open spaces in Cumbria and one in Dumfries and Galloway have been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award.
Green Flag awards in Cumbria go to:
- Chances Park in Carlisle
- Silloth Green
- Penrith Cemetery
- Alston Cemetery
In Dumfries and Galloway, Dock Park has become the first park in the south of Scotland to be given the award. A £2 million refurbishment of the park was completed earlier this year and it was officially opened in May by the earl of Wessex.
We asked people what they think of the park since its upgrade.
