Father in court charged with manslaughter of his baby

A father has appeared in court in Carlisle, charged with the manslaughter of his six-week-old baby.

Craig Beattie, 33, was at Carlisle Crown Court accused of killing Kye Levi Beattie Kerr in July 2011 at Harraby in the city.

He has been released on conditional bail, and will next appear at the court for a plea and case management hearing on 3 June.
