The two men killed in a single vehicle collision in Dumfries and Galloway last night have been named.
Police Scotland said 25-year-old William Kirk from High Bishopton, Whithorn, who was the driver of the car, and 18 year old Justin McCaig, from Myrton Crescent, Port William died following the crash on the A747 Road at West Barr, Port William at around 9:20pm yesterday.
They were the only two people in the car and the Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
Police have re-issued their appeal for anyone who may have been on the A747 road in the area of West Barr, Port William, at the time of the collision to get in touch if they saw the black Vauxhall Corsa car or an articulated lorry which was in the vicinity of the crash.
