Delays between Carlisle and Glasgow after derailment

A collision between two engineering trains means that there are big delays north of Carlisle.

Replacement buses will run between Dumfries and Kilmarnock, and the work is expected to take around two weeks.

Train derailment investigation underway

Network Rail says "lessons will be learned" after a train derailment which is likely to cause two weeks of disruption.

Two trains involved in engineering work collided on Saturday. No one was hurt but the line between Dumfries and Kilmarnock is closed.
