Carlisle hammer thrower Nick Miller eased his way into the final at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing, with a throw of 77.44 metres.
The 22-year-old needed just one attempt during qualifications at the Bird's Nest. His throw was just short of the 77.55 metres he threw last month to break the 31-year-old British record. The Commonwealth Games silver medallist will compete in the final tomorrow.
