'Landmark' deal to bring £100 million, and 200 jobs, to Scottish Borders

The council has announced it has awarded a contract to run its digital services to the global IT and business process services provider, CGI.

It's hoped the 13-year, £92 million contract will provide the Council with state-of-the-art technology to deliver improved customer services and streamlined systems.

Calum Kerr MP praises “fantastic” deal for the Borders

The Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk MP, Calum Kerr, has responded to the news that 200 ICT jobs are being created in the Borders.

This is a fantastic announcement for the region and I warmly congratulate Scottish Borders Council and CGI for in putting it in place.

It’s a highly imaginative solution which will bring jobs and better IT - both of which we really need - across the Borders.
