Police name man who died after holiday park 'altercation'

Police have named a 47-year-old man who died after an altercation at a holiday park in Cumbria.

Robert William Gordon, from Annan Park, Kilmarnock, was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary and was pronounced dead on 13 March 2016.

Police say it followed an incident at the Stanwix Park Holiday Centre in Silloth, which occurred between 1:45am and 2:45am on 12 March.

They are investigating the circumstances of his death and are supporting his family.

A 47-year-old man from Silloth, arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, has been bailed.
