Hawick's annual Common Riding

Hooves are pounding the grounds of Hawick, as hundreds of horses and riders ride out for the town's annual Common Riding.

The rides celebrate a 13th century tradition and take place across the South of Scotland throughout the summer.

Today's annual Common Riding in Hawick kicks off a series of summer ridings across the south of Scotland.
