The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards have been training at the Dundrennan Ranges near Kirkcudbright after taking delivery of their new armoured vehicle- the jackal.

It's part of the army's restructure as they move into lighter armoured vehicles. The jackal replaces the more traditional tanks.

"It's a good piece of kit for the job for the role we're in.

"It gives you good capability out on the ground and in the recce perspective and also in the manoeuvring to get you out of difficult situations quickly."
