A memorial exhibition 'Remembering Srebrenica - United Against Hatred' is being held by AWAZ Cumbria at Greystone Community Centre in Carlisle.

AWAZ Cumbria is a support organisation for Black and Minority Ethnic people in Cumbria.

In July 1995, more than 8000 Bosnian Muslims men and boys were massacred by Bosnian Serb forces at Srebrenica in the dying days of the Balkans War.

It remains the worst atrocity of European soil since World War Two.

The memorial exhibition will pay tribute to the victims of the genocide and to send a clear message to future generations to say 'Never Again'.

The event will also look at ways in which we can tackle racism, hatred, and intolerance within our community and further afield.
