Witness appeal after 400-year-old cottage damaged
Police are appealing for witnesses after a van hit a 400 year old cottage in the Lake District causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
A white van was caught on a neighbour's CCTV camera reversing towards the property before driving away. It happened at around 3 o'clock on Thursday afternoon at Laurel Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Bowness-on-Windermere.
The building is a converted 16th-century school which suffered damage to its low-lying rear roof and a wall.
