LGBT support centre opens in Dumfries

A new centre to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people has opened in Dumfries.

The office, on Newall Terrace, features a number of large support and therapy rooms, and has been opened by Dumfries and Galloway LGBT Plus.

It's hoped that it will provide a central base for the community.

Staff there told ITV Border that LGBT people face many challenges in rural areas like Dumfries and Galloway.
