Copeland MP: Fatal crash 'every parent's worst nightmare'

The MP of Copland says she "can't imagine" how the families of two teenagers killed in a collision on the A595 are feeling.

Trudy Harrison lives in Bootle, close to where the accident happened.

I think it's every parent's worst nightmare.

We teach our children to drive, we live in a rural area, so they have to be independent to be able to access sixth form, training part time work, and it's always on our minds whenever they're out on the roads.

But of course, you never expect it to be your child.

I just can't imagine how those families are feeling.

– Trudy Harrison, Copeland MP
