Survivors of A595 road crash 'stable' in hospital

The two survivors of a fatal road crash that happened on the A595 near Bootle on Friday 14 July, are now in a stable condition in hospital.

The 18-year-old female passenger was travelling in the back seat of a Toyota Yaris car when it collided with a Ford Transit van. She was flown by air ambulance to Preston Royal Hospital.

The 51-year-old male driver of the Ford Transit was flown by air ambulance to Aintree Hospital, Liverpool.

The 18-year-olds who were driving the Toyota Yaris and travelling in the front seat, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
