Police investigate several burglaries of South Lakes businesses

Police are investigating a spate of burglaries that have happened across the South Lakes area.

Several business premises were broken into, where money from safes and tills were stolen. They include:

  • A caravan park in Meathop and Crooklands.
  • Two caravan parks in Endmoor.
  • A motor vehicle garage in Crooklands.
  • Three business premises in Sedwick, Flookborough and Cartmel.

Cumbria Police are urging business owners to remain vigilant and to keep doors and windows locked, as well as to not leave any valuables at the property overnight.

Police also encourage business owners to ensure they install CCTV cameras and extra security measures to help prevent or detect such crimes.
