Train passengers in Cumbria are facing more disruption today, Monday 4 September, with another day of industrial action. RMT union members are walking out over Northern's plans for driver-only trains.
Most trains will run between 7am and 7pm, with some services finishing earlier. During this time the number of running trains will be reduced. Passengers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.
Tips for travellers today:
- If you experience a delay of 30 minutes or more, you can claim compensation through Northern's Delay Repay scheme.
- Customers with season tickets that don't include buses, trams or ferries, who decide not to travel due to strike action, can also claim compensation.
