There is still a warning for strong winds in place today after Storm Eleanor brought gusts of up to 100 mph to parts of the region last night.

The Met Office's amber 'Be Prepared' warning has now been downgraded to yellow and is in place until around 6pm this evening.

Power cuts might happen and injuries from flying debris are possible in coastal communities, which are expected to be hit by large waves and spray.

Public transport may be disrupted. Information on road closures across the region can be found here.
