Councillors in Cumbria have voted to accept up to 10 more unaccompanied Syrian children who've fled conflict in their country.

It would bring the total number of unaccompanied child refugees in Cumbria to 14.

The children all entered the country without any family, having journeyed from their war-torn homeland.

The council's cabinet approved plans to take in more children as part of the National Transport Scheme.
