The police in Southern Scotland are looking for witnesses after four poppy collection tins were stolen from shops.
Detectives say they want to speak to two men and two women in connection with the thefts in Lochmaben - including a woman who was captured by CCTV footage.
The group are all described as being in their 20s and of Asian appearance. Police say one of the women was wearing a long black skirt and spoke with broken English.
One of the men had a burgundy zipped jacket and curly hair.
The other man is described as wearing a black jacket.
Police are warning that the group could target other towns and villages in Dumfries and Galloway.
