The 2013 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records has gone on sale today and the team behind the latest book are based in Retford.

55 Design was tasked with putting together the newest edition and they have made use of new technology to update the famous book. For the first time readers can see the pages come to life with 3D technology using an iPad.

Creative Director of 55 Design Ltd Paul Wylie-Deacon has been speaking to us about how they came up with the concept.

Several record breakers from our region have made it into the book including the fastest female marathon runner dressed as a book character from East Yorkshire, the most tandem parachute jumps in 24 hours in North East Lincolnshire as well as Colin Furze from Stamford who holds the record for the world's fastest mobility scooter which reaches over 70 miles an hour, has been racing it at London's Canary Wharf. He pitted himself against two other wacky racers - the world's smallest roadworthy car, and the world's fastest...toilet!

And the largest serving of fish and chips in Doncaster.
