Residents fight plans for 160 homes in Lincolnshire village

A group of residents in the historic village of Navenby in Lincolnshire say plans for 160 homes on land off Green Man Road will put too much pressure on local resources and negatively impact wildlife.

A planning decision is expected to be made on June 16. North Kesteven District Council says it's had around 280 objections and the planning meeting will be a ticketed event as a result.

North Kesteven District Council is unable to comment in advance of a planning committee’s opportunity to consider the application, which is scheduled for two weeks time. We are aware of the strength of feeling expressed locally, which will be presented and fully considered by committee members, along with local and national planning policies and guidance and assessments on the settlement’s sustainability, when reaching a decision.

The would-be developers are Lindum Group and Linden Homes EB (Lincoln) Ltd. Landowners are Keith and Marian Lamyman who live at Top Farm and an adjacent property on Green Man Lane
