Huddersfield head coach Paul Anderson believes his side were "embarrassed again" after the Giants lost out in another Super League playoff match to Wigan.

The Warriors made light work of Huddersfield with a clinical 32-8 win in the first Super League semi-final last night.

The Giants' defeat was their 12th in 15 play-off ties going back to 2007 and Anderson accepts the criticism that his players once more froze on the big occasion.

You can't deny that, can you? The results are the proof in the pudding. We've been embarrassed again. We never got going if I'm honest and the scoreline is probably a fair reflection of the game. I felt their attitude to the tough stuff was probably better than ours.< I expected Wigan to be physical and we didn't quite go with them. They rolled their sleeves up and did some tough stuff. What's gone before doesn't matter. It's not how you start it's how you finish. We built things nicely through the year but we haven't got the finish we wanted and it's very deflating.
