Peter Sutcliffe is serving a life sentence for the murder of 13 women

Cold case detectives from West Yorkshire Police are investigating whether Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe was behind a number of unsolved attacks on women.

The force said officers had begun visiting a "small number" of victims of historic assaults and other offences.
