New Bradford City owners see investment as long term commitment to club
The new German owners at Bradford City say they see their investment as a long term commitment after completing a 100% takeover.
Stefan Rupp and Edin Rahic are now in full control of the club marking a new chapter in its history. It means previous co-owners Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes will step aside.
The new joint owners have been friends and business associates for a number of years and say they see their investment as a long term commitment to the club.
New chairman Mr Rahic is expected to move to the UK with his family and base himself permanently at the Coral Windows Stadium working alongside Chief Operating Officer James Mason to maintain the continuity of relationship between the board of directors, the fans and players.
Mr Rupp is expected to stay in Germany in the immediate future but will make regular visits to the UK and be fully involved in club affairs.
The club postponed the announcement of the sale until after the play offs concluded so as not to be a distraction at a crucial time of the season.
