A fishing boat is being rescued after it was found to have sunk in the habour in Whitby this morning.
The Whitby RNLI launched the inshore lifeboat to assist with the fishing vessel, Stoney Broke, which had sunk in the harbour overnight.
The volunteer crew took the boat up the harbour to assess the situation, though no passengers were on board at the time of the sinking.
We are waiting for low tide and the boat to be resting on the bottom of the harbour and hopefully we will be able to pump the water out and get her floating again
The lifesaving charity are currently still on the scene as the operation continues.
