Tributes have been paid after a pilot who had been recovering in hospital following a helicopter crash died a week after the accident.
36-year-old Nigel Feetham was one of five people injured in the crash at Breighton Airfield near Howden earlier this month.
He was at the controls of his own Alouette helicopter when it came into difficulties in a grassy area alongside the main runway.
He and four passengers were taken to hospital - two by air ambulance - after the accident on Sunday July 17 at 6pm.
Feetham a "much-loved" and "generous" man, from Hedon, was seeing visitors and was in good spirits when he suddenly took a turn for the worse.
Friends have described him as "one of the lads, and a gentleman" and say he will be sorely missed".
It is with deep sadness we must report the devastating news that our friend and fellow aviator Nigel Feetham passed away due to a medical complication.
On its Facebook page, The Stags Head Inn in Lelley, where Mr Feetham would visit with friends, said the news of his death was tragic.
Devastated. Everyone at The Stags Head in Lelley offer our sincerest condolences to all of Nigel Feetham's family and friends.
