The Pride of Britain bus rolled into Leeds today to collect nominations for unsung heroes across the region.

Volunteers waited by the Double Decker to give information about how to nominate people in their local community for the 2016 awards.

"You can nominate anybody that you know, who you think is worthy of one of these awards. The brilliant thing about Pride of Britain is that it can be an act of bravery that happens in a split second or it can be dediction over a lifetime, or just something that people do in the face of adversity. It can be all walks of live, any age, anywhere in the country."

– Amanda Byram, TV presenter

Last year, Paula Maguire from Wakefield was crowned national fundraiser of the year, after raising millions for charity through the Ice Bucket Challenge.
