Olympic bronze medallist Katy Marchant has said she is now looking ahead to the Tokyo Games after claiming bronze at Rio 2016.

The sprint cyclist, who is from Leeds, clinched victory over Elis Ligtlee in the ride-off for bronze in the women's sprint.

After landing back on Friday, Katy celebrated by having a meal with family, before partying on Saturday evening.

"I was overwhelmed, the support at home has been absolutely fabulous."

Katy, who only switched to cycling from heptathlon three years ago, says she hopes the medal is 'only the beginning' of her cycling career.

"When I first started cycling three years ago I said to myself I'm aiming for Tokyo, Rio is too much of a big ask."
