A 'major incident' at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust has led to all planned operations being cancelled for two days.

Hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole are only accepting emergency cases, after a computer virus infected the electronic systems.

People suffering major trauma are being diverted to neighbouring hospitals, as are high-risk women in labour.

All outpatient appointments and diagnostic procedures have also been cancelled for today and tomorrow.

A virus infected our electronic systems yesterday (Sunday October 30) and we have taken the decision, following expert advice, to shut down the majority of our systems so we can isolate and destroy it.
