Worksop woman raises awareness of MND with new campaign

A woman from Worksop, Nottinghamshire, is the face of a new hard-hitting campaign to raise awareness about motor neurone disease (MND).

Gemma Middleton was diagnosed with MND in June 2016, aged just 29.

She has now backed the #MyEyesSay campaign which aims to highlight the plight of people suffering with the life-limiting condition.

Posters with Gemma's face have gone on display at railways stations including Sheffield. They have also been spotted in Birmingham, and in London at Canary Wharf and various other underground stations.

"My family, partner, friends, friends of friends, work colleagues and even strangers have been amazing and supportive - that’s what overwhelms me the most and I can’t thank them all enough.”
