MP: 'something must be done' after 10th death in 12 months on A64

An MP is pressing for urgent safety improvements after a 10th person died in just 12 months along the main A64 road from York to Scarborough.

A man and woman in their 50s were killed on Friday night when they were hit by a car as they crossed the road at Welburn near Castle Howard.

Last month another couple were killed just a few hundred metres further along the road.
