Kirklees Superintendent retires after 31 years

Kirklees Superintendent Paul Jeffrey has hung up his uniform following 31 and a half years service.

Paul will now be handing over the reins to his son Harry, who joined the Force a year ago has taken on his collar number.

Policing runs in the Jeffery family as his father Harry joined the Force in 1962 as a police dog handler in the Aire Valley.His brother Simon also has 22 years’ service, the majority of which as a dog handler. 

I have had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed my service at West Yorkshire Police.
