West Yorkshire wheelchair rugby players set for World Cup opener

Wheelchair rugby players from West Yorkshire are set to feature for England in France tonight.

The Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup starts with England taking on the home nation in Carcassonne.

Nine of the eleven England WhRL players come from West Yorkshire teams.

“We are going into this game felling confidant but we know its not going to be easy. “It's great to have a Yorkshire bond with in the team but we are one big family we have people from the south and from overseas playing for England and we all play a big part within the team. “We are all working for each other in this team and it will hopefully be a happy day at the end of tomorrow.”
