A woman who terrorised her neighbours, eventually stabbing one of them to death, has been found guilty of murder and witness intimidation at Hull Crown Court.
Joanne Hemingway was stabbed by Angela Burkitt outside their flats in Beverley Road, Hull, last June.
Burkitt was described by police as a bully, who over a sustained period of time had bullied both 39-year-old Joanne Hemingway and other residents in and around the area where they lived.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Curtis said he, his team and Joanne’s family welcomed the jury's decision. Burkitt will be sentenced shortly, as will Glenn Foster, also known as Eddie Walker, who has already pleaded guilty to various offences.
