Mark Cavendish, winner of 30 Tour de France stages, looks set to be one of the star riders to take part in Tour de Yorkshire 2018.
The former Road World Champion, whose mum comes from Harrogate, was at this morning's announcement of the full tour route at Halifax's historic Piece Hall, which will provide the location for the start of the fourth stage of next year's event.
In September it was revealed the men's race will be extended to four days while the women's will increase from one to two. Over two million people watched from the roadside last year.
