Hull's Laura Plummer has been ''pardoned'' by the Egyptian President on the anniversary of the 2011 revolution according to reports.

Plummer was sentenced to three years in jail after being caught smuggling 290 tramadol tablets into the country.

The 33 year old claimed she brought the tablets to help with her partner's bad back.

The country is celebrating a national holiday marking the 7th anniversary of the revolution that took place in 2011.
