Bradford City sack Stuart McCall after six straight defeats

Bradford have sacked manager Stuart McCall following a run of six successive defeats.

The 53-year-old was in his second spell at Valley Parade and guided the club to last season's League One play-off final, losing 1-0 to Millwall at Wembley.

The Bantams are again on course for another top-six finish, with Saturday's 2-1 loss at struggling Oldham leaving them sixth despite their recent wretched run.

Having gone unbeaten at home all last season, the Bantams have struggled on their own patch this term, losing eight times - the joint-worst in the division.

Bradford play rock-bottom Bury at Valley Parade on Saturday.

"Bradford City can confirm that the club has terminated the contract of manager Stuart McCall.
