Police have released the name of a driver who died after being involved in a crash on the M62 in East Yorkshire.
Nigel Stuart Eley, who was 41 years old and from Urmston in Manchester was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision on Tuesday April 3, 2018.
It happened between junctions 36 and 37 near Goole when a HGV carrying a caravan on the westbound carriageway went through the central reservation and collided with a black Lexus car, travelling in the opposite direction.
A 37-year-old man who was the passenger in the car, is in a serious condition in hospital. The 22-year-old driver of the HGV, who has spoken to officers has been discharged from hospital.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
