The future of trainee junior doctors working with children at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital is now unclear, with plans to potentially withdraw them from August.
Health Education England says it is seeking reassurances that enough senior staff are now working at Pilgrim to offer supervision. The trainees were due to be rotated in August, but new ones may not be sent to Boston.
United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust, which runs Pilgrim Hospital, says its seeking further clarity from HEE about its intentions and no formal decision has yet been made.
