Up to 400 jobs to go as pharmaceutical firm leaves Grimsby
A pharmaceutical firm is quitting Grimsby - with almost 400 job losses.
Novartis - which has been on on the South Humber bank for nearly 70 years - says the decision is due to a 'global transformation of the company's manufacturing network."
395 employees are affected in Grimsby, with contracting staff potentially swelling that figure to around 500.
The business makes drugs for oncology and a new treatment for heart failure.
