He was sentenced to 10 weeks imprisonment and ordered to pay £115 to victim services when his case was heard at Sheffield Magistrates court on 19 October.

On the same day, Connor Shaw, 26 of Larch Mews in Rotherham, was found guilty of a racially aggravated public order offence, assault on a PC, and theft along with fail to appear for court.

He was sentenced to a total of 34 weeks imprisonment and was also given a two year community behaviour order.

Any kind of hate crime will not be tolerated and I hope that this sentence sends out a clear message that anyone found to be committing any kind of hate crime will be dealt with.
