'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day' star cancels Hull gig after band's kit stolen in Leeds

Former Wizzard lead singer Roy Wood has had to cancel a gig in Hull after his band's equipment was stolen from a warehouse in Leeds.

The 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day' singer was due to perform at Hull City Hall tonight but revealed on his band's Facebook page that thousands of pounds of equipment had been stolen.

It is believed a truck and all the Roy Wood Rock 'n' Roll Band's equipment, including guitars and amplifiers, were taken from a warehouse on Dewsbury Road in Leeds in the early hours of this morning.

We are sorry to inform you tonights gig at Hull City Hall has been cancelled. The warehouse has been broken into and all the band equipment and truck has been stolen.

If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of any of this equipment (possibly around the Leeds area) including the Fender Strat guitars and red Marshall amps Roy uses please message us, we would be extremely grateful.
