A man who died after falling while climbing Ben Nevis on Sunday has been named by police.
Patrick Boothroyd, from Holmfirth in West Yorkshire, fell more than 1600 feet when he and his climbing partner, from Cardiff University Mountaineering club, were hit by an overhanging ledge of snow on Sunday.
His companion escaped with minor injuries. Patrick, who had organised the university trip, was flown to hospital in Fort William but died later.
Sergeant Michael Bell said: "Our thoughts are with the man's friends and family at this very sad time.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
"I would take the opportunity to thank the crew of the HM Coastguard helicopter and Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team for their assistance with this incident."
