Family pay tribute to grandfather, 82, killed in collision with Range Rover

The family of an 82-year-old man killed in a collision with a Range Rover over the Christmas period has paid tribute to their 'loving father and grandfather'.

Arthur ‘Bud’ Wass, a retired watchmaker, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, outside the Walton Hospital in Whitecotes Lane, Chesterfield, on December 29th.

Mr Wass's daughter Geraldine and son-in-law Mick, said he was a 'doting father' and 'beloved granddad' who loved to spend time with his family.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of Whitecotes Lane at around 7.20pm and may have witnessed the incident, which involved a Range Rover, or the moments leading up to it.

They also want to hear from any drivers who may have dashcam footage or homeowners with CCTV in the area.
