Detectives investigating the hit and run which happened outside TBC nightclub in Batley have charged a man.
The incident happened around 4:41am on New Year’s Day on Bradford Road, close to the junction with Hick Lane.
A 21-year-old male victim was knocked down by a blue Mercedes outside the premises.
The victim is continuing to recover in hospital; the injuries he sustained as a result of the incident are a fractured cheek bone, eye socket and bruising to his face and body.
On Wednesday evening, West Yorkshire Police arrested two further males, aged 21 and 23 from Dewsbury, including the driver of the Mercedes.
In the early hours of this morning (4 January) Hamza Ali Hussain, aged 23, of Middle Road, Westtown in Dewsbury was charged with section 18 wounding.
He will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning to face the charges.
The 21 and 27-year-old males arrested have been released pending further investigation.
